Conventional wisdom has us putting equity on the market for sale, then waiting around for the cash buyer to surface. Why not take the initiative and use that equity as a buyer for the alternative equity being sought?
Equity, defined: the value of the asset, less the existing debt.
Every transaction is an exchange. We exchange cash for a quart of milk. We trade in our used car, plus cash, for the new one.
